HeMiBio Symposium Abstract & Poster Guidelines


  • Abstract Format

The title should be in bold (Font size Arial 13)
The authors in font size Arial 11 with the name of the presenting author underlined.
Address in font size Arial 11 italic
The abstract text should be separated from the authors and addresses by a blank line (font size Arial 11, single spaced)
Abstract length must not exceed 350 words (2300 characters spaces included)
Please do not include any diagrams. 

  • Abstract submission

Abstracts shall be sent as an Email attachment in word format (.doc or .docx) to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with ‘Abstract submission’ in the subject area.
Please include in your Email the following:

A - your contact details
B - the Session under which you would like to discuss you poster:

  • SESSION I - Development
  • SESSION II - Combining pluripotent stem cell differentiation and genome engineering to create liver tissue in vitro –(A Stem cells and Liver/ B Stem cells and cell engineering )
  • SESSION III - Implementation of the adverse outcome pathway concept in HeMiBio

C - a statement of whether you wish your abstract to be considered for oral presentation. Selection for short oral presentations will be communicated by November 15th. Note, that if your abstract is selected for oral presentation you will also be required to present a Poster. Acknowledgement of receipt of the abstract submission will be sent to the stated Email address.

  • Closing date
    The closing date for abstract submission is Wednesday November 18th 2015.



Posters will be set up on December 2nd for the duration of the Symposium. One poster session is scheduled for Tuesday December 2nd. Further discussions around the posters are possible during the lunch and coffee breaks.

  • Poster Format

    Poster size: 80 cm width x 120 cm height
    Supplies for hanging posters will be available in the hall

Authors are kindly requested to be present at their poster during the poster session on Tuesday night.
